BENCHMARKS, PART III
(NEW SERIES BEGINNING SUNDAY!)
In 2 Peter 1, the Apostle Peter gives us one of the clearest pictures of what it looks like to mature as a follower of Jesus. He gives us a list of things that ought to be coming out of a Jesus follower if they're growing.
In January and April of this year, we started looking at this list through a series called "Benchmarks", covering basic faith, moral excellence, and growing in knowledge.
This Sunday, August 30th, we begin Benchmarks, Part III where we'll spend the next few weeks looking at the fourth and fifth marker in Peter's list of maturity self-control
and
steadfastness.

In the first two installments of Benchmarks, we began exploring Peter’s list by looking at faith, moral excellence, and knowledge. Now, in Series III, we turn to two qualities every believer needs but every heart struggles to develop: self-control and steadfastness. If you’ve ever wondered why growth feels so hard, why perseverance runs thin, or what God is building in you through the struggle, this message will draw you in, helping you see the next step with clarity, courage, and renewed hunger to become more like Christ.
